Zoë skillfully combines creativity, sensitivity and pragmatism. This combined set of qualities had already been put to use before she embarked on her legal journey, when she was involved in many artistic pursuits, including screenwriting, filmmaking and hosting a radio show. Today, these same qualities are what makes her the ideal ally to develop and implement innovative and ambitious solutions to advance the rights of marginalized people.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Philosophy from McMaster University in Ontario with the highest honours, Zoë went on to complete the BCL/JD program at McGill University. With a strong social conscience and a sincere desire to help others, she enriched her academic career with a number of community commitments. In particular, since 2015, she has coordinated Open Door Books, an initiative that provides books to prisoners. This is where she discovered her passion for the rights of prisoners, and which naturally led her to TJL.

A member of our team since 2021, Zoë started as a summer law student and then as an articling student. Now a lawyer at TJL since January 2023, she never ceases to amaze us with her culinary exploits, her subtle sense of humor, and her determination to use the law to build a more just and caring society.
