On November 14, 2017, Judge Bisson of the Superior Court of Quebec authorized a class action for all persons who were immobilized in a vehicle on the 13 South Highway or on the 520 East Highway in Montreal from 19:00 on March 14, 2017 until noon on March 15, 2017.
The authorization means that the Court has given Mr. Gilles D. Beauchamp and his lawyers at Trudel Johnston & Lespérance and Deveau avocats the mandate to represent all the members of the group.
These members spent a cold winter night in their vehicle without any assistance or information and should, therefore, be compensated. An amount of $ 2,500 per person is claimed in the proceedings.
