On August 3, 2023, Troy Dingwell, represented by Trudel Johnston & Lespérance and Gluckstein Lawyers, filed an Application for Authorization to Institute a Class Action against Advanced Bionics Corp., which manufactures, markets and distributes the “HiRes Ultra” and “HiRes Ultra 3D” cochlear implants.
An exceedingly high percentage of these models of cochlear implants are defective and cause serious injury to patients who receive them. As such, the class action seeks to compensate all individuals who were implanted in Canada with a HiRes Ultra or HiRes Ultra 3D cochlear implant.
