Yaël joined the firm as a paralegal in the summer of 2025.

His commitment to protecting the most vulnerable was already well established before he joined us. Alongside his law degree (Licence) in France, he was actively involved with associations supporting children and people experiencing homelessness, and completed an internship as part of the French National Strategy to Combat Poverty.

He then earned a Master’s degree in Civil Liberties Law, which brought him to UQAM’s Faculty of Law for a two-semester exchange. Having fallen in love with the province and with the practice of law in Quebec, he went on to complete a joint Master’s degree in Fundamental Rights, awarded jointly by Université Toulouse Capitole and Université Laval. His thesis examined the legal treatment of religious movements perceived as “cult-like” in the French and Quebec legal systems.
