On June 27, 2024, the applicant C.K. filed an application for authorization to institute a class action against the Centre Intégré Universitaire de Santé et de Services Sociaux du Centre-Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal (Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital). The class action seeks to compensate every person who was victim of sexual abuse committed by Gino Londei or Steve Trowbridge while attending the Division of Child Psychiatry at the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital.

The class action seeks to hold the hospital liable for the damages caused to the victims as a result of the abuse committed by these two men and, if the evidence allows, punitive damages given the heinous nature of the acts committed on particularly vulnerable victims.
