    Les courageuses v. Gilbert Rozon

In a judgment rendered on May 22, 2018, the Honourable Justice Donald Bisson of the Superior Court of Quebec authorized the exercise of a class action by Les Courageuses against Gilbert Rozon. Judge Bisson clearly states that a class action against a sexual predator allows “all victims to understand that they are not alone, that the assaults are not their fault and that if they have the courage to come forward to denounce the sexual abuse committed against them, they will make the stories of other victims more likely”. Judge Bisson concluded by stating that without a class action, it is highly likely that many victims would be unable to exercise their rights in court.
